In June the Selection of Malta Veterans were invited to the prestigious Veterans Tournament in Granada, Spain.
The tournament was held on two days, in which every winner of each group on day one, would progress to a round-robin tournament the next day. Malta Veterans were drawn at the Ogíjares Region.
The Selection of Malta Veterans managed to win the group stage on Saturday and progress to Sunday’s tournament.

The Tournament continued with another two games, where, unfortunately, the Malta Veterans lost the two of them. The first game ended in a goalless draw and lost on penalties. The second and final game we lost by a goal margin.

Apart from football, Granada was a nice experience for the Veterans Malta Football Association, as this was our first official tournament abroad.
