Today, our Veterans selection faced a Danish team from League 3, Vester Nebel. Although the final score was won by the visitors, we can say that it was a fair game for our Veterans. First of all, we have to mention that the main factor was our average age, which was 42 compared to the danish side of 28.

Vester Nebel managed to open the score in the first half. Malta Veterans managed to hit the crossbar from Eric Saliba and missed two goals chances from Simon Shead and Michael Borg Olivier.

While the Malta Veterans were pushing for the equaliser, Vestel managed to double on a counter-attack. We kept pushing and playing good football, and in fact, we managed to grab a goal by Simon Shead. Their agile goalkeeper saved another shot of Simon Shead from a cross of Gilbert Agius.

Gilbert Agius saw his 30 mtr shot going wide from goal. While Michael Borg Oliver had another chance saved, Vesel managed to extend their lead by a solo run on the right and beat our keeper.
