Malta Veterans national team win second friendly against Wales Veterans

The Malta Veterans National Team secured a 1–0 victory against Wales Veterans in a friendly match played at the Mellieħa Ground. This was the second meeting between the two sides, with Malta also winning the previous encounter in Wales by the same scoreline.

The match was evenly contested, with both teams producing a competitive and entertaining performance throughout.

The only goal of the game, which secured the win for the team coached by Joe Micallef, came in the second half through Johnny Camilleri.

Malta lined up as follows: Justin Spiteri (GK), Adrian Lanzon, Malcolm Camilleri, Jonathan Bondin, Steven Bonnici, George Frendo, Kevin Sammut, Bjorn Bondin, Mifsud Triganza, Adam Smeir, and Johnny Camilleri. Roderick Debattista was the substitute goalkeeper.

The next commitment for the Maltese Veterans will take place on 30 May, when they host Parma Cus from Italy, before travelling to Croatia in June to face a local side from the same country.
