Week 3 from our championship saw four matches, two from each group. The first game we had Hamrun Spartans vs Rabat Serkin.

Hamrun Spartans shown their quality level as they immediately were organised and compact with a good organisation in the pitch. In fact, they took an early lead by Antonini.

Today, our Veterans selection faced a Danish team from League 3, Vester Nebel. Although the final score was won by the visitors, we can say that it was a fair game for our Veterans. First of all, we have to mention that the main factor was our average age, which was 42 compared to the danish side of 28.

In this week’s games, we saw how Gozo Glory are re-confirming their home run wins as they overtook Balzan Veterans at the Nadur Football Ground. The game was a close encounter in the first part of the game, but in the second half, Gozo showed their home strength and managed to score eight goals.

In the opening week of Match Day 2 we had a very interesting encounter between Luxol St. Andrews and Zejtun Red Stars. The game ended up in a tie, 6-6.

As the championship is underway, we are preparing for our first ever Christmas Cup.
The draws were drawn today at the MFA headquarters in the presence of all VMFA delegates.

Tomorrow we will sum-up the first week of our first ever Championship Edition.

In the first match we have scheduled for tomorrow, we will see the last team to debut in our league, Zejtun Red Stars. They will face the fire-blasting team of Luxol St. Andrews, where Michael Galea will be surely the player to watch, after firing home six goals on his debut.

The game was organised before the Qualifier 2020 match between Malta vs Sweden.

In June the Selection of Malta Veterans were invited to the prestigious Veterans Tournament in Granada, Spain.

Malta Veterans organised a friendly match with Braywood Beavers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Hamrun.

Veterans Malta were invited by the Selection of Gozo for this year of Gozo Cup. The game was held at Gozo National Stadium, in Xewkija.
