Gżira United maintained their first place in the VMFA Cisk Premier League although they had to sweat hard to beat a mighty Birkirkara St Helen’s side. On the other hand, Floriana are still one point behind the Maroons after a 10-2 rout against champions MFPA.
Gżira United – Birkirkara St Helen’s 5-2
Gzira United FC Veterans secured a solid 5-2 win against Birkirkara Saint Helen Veterans FC. Ian Zammit was instrumental for Gzira, scoring two goals, while Sebastian Nayar, Daniel Bueno, and Kevin Sammut also found the back of the net. Birkirkara managed to respond with goals from Ayrton Buhagiar and Federico Marine, but ultimately fell short in this high-scoring encounter.

Floriana – MFPA 10-2
Floriana FC stunned the reigning champions Malta Football Players Association with a spectacular 10-2 victory.
Christian Cassar shone brightly for the greens, netting five goals, and Manolito Micallef added a brace. The scoring was rounded out by goals from Gilbert Scerri, Emerson Amaira, and Trevor Cilia.
MFPA managed to respond with goals from Stephen Wellman and Mark Barbara, but it was not nearly enough to keep pace with Floriana’s attacking prowess.

Rabat Veterans – Zurrieq Wolves 8-1
Rabat Veterans achieved a resounding 8-1 victory over Zurrieq Wolves Veterans highlighted by an outstanding performance from Andre Scicluna, who scored four goals. Adam Smeir was also in fine form, contributing a hat-trick of his own, while Ibrahim Tarek completed the rout with an additional goal. For Zurrieq, Christian Bezzina managed to score the lone consolation goal.
