Floriana maintained their championship ambitions with a commanding 14-1 victory over Hibernians in the Malta Veterans Premier League.
As the scoreline suggests, the Greens dominated proceedings throughout, particularly in the second half where they found the net no fewer than 11 times to seal an emphatic win.
Manolito Micallef led the scoring charts with five goals, while Ryan Darmanin contributed a hat-trick. Firas Aboulezz and Diego Fernando Pereira each struck twice, with Dylan Grima and William Camenzuli also getting on the scoresheet to complete Floriana’s tally.
Hibernians’ lone goal came courtesy of Beppe Antignolo. The match was officiated by referee Paul Apap.
With this result, Floriana remain just one point behind league leaders MFPA, who secured a 5-3 win over reigning champions Gżira Veterans.

Stanimir Miloskovic netted a hat-trick for MFPA, while George Frendo and Mark Barbara added a goal each. Ian Zammit scored twice for Gżira, with Zvezdan Vukovic also on target. Gordon Barbara was the referee for this encounter.
Elsewhere, Rabat Veterans climbed further up the standings after recording a 6-2 win against Luxol St Andrew’s.
Adam Smeir once again demonstrated his prolific scoring ability with a hat-trick, inspiring his side to victory. Andre Scicluna, Andy Mangion and Timothy Zammit also found the net for Rabat. Dylan Musu and Gary Inguanez scored the consolation goals for Luxol. The match was officiated by Paul Apap.

Żurrieq Wolves registered their first win of the season with a 5-2 triumph over Birkirkara St Helen’s.
Alex Muscat scored twice, while Jurgen Mifsud, Beppe Muscat and Kevin Vella also added their names to the scoresheet. Roderick Briffa netted both goals for Birkirkara. Gordon Barbara was the referee.
