After the international break, the VMFA Cisk Premier League returns this evening with some interesting clashes at the St Dorothy’s School Grounds.

The match of match day 6 seems to be the Rabat Veterans vs Hibernians FC fixture. Both clubs are passing from a bright patch as the Magpies are first in the table with the Paolites one point behind them. Both of them are coming from a victory and their main aim is to continue with this winning trend.

MFPA hope to return to winning ways as they meet Luxol. Both sides have lost their last encounter and are willing to gain points especially Luxol who want to remain as part of the title contenders’ group.

Even Gżira were beaten in the last encounter against Żejtun Red Stars. The Maroons are favourites to take the three points at stake as they meet Żurrieq Wolves who are still to break their duck.

Gżira won the first three encounters, drew their fourth match but were stunned by Żejtun who were more determined on the day.

Żurrieq need to up their game to gain the first points of the season.

The match between Birkirkara St Helen’s and Żejtun Red Stars could go either way with both sides having strong squads and ready to get the most important three points.

The Stripes are being consistent in their play with Żejtun who after losing two matches, managed to make amends by seeing off Gżira United.
