The battle between MFPA and Floriana for the Veterans Malta Premier League title continues to intensify, with just one point separating the two sides at the top of the standings.
MFPA registered a commanding 10–2 victory over Hibernians in a match they dominated throughout. League top scorer Stanimir Miloskovic netted five goals, while Mauro Bonnici and George Frendo each added a brace. Alexander Ribic also found the net for the Malta Football Players Association.
Mark Abbosh and Beppe Antignolo replied for Hibernians.
The match was officiated by referee Thomas Debono.

Floriana, meanwhile, were made to work hard before overcoming reigning champions Gżira United 6–5 in a closely contested encounter. Diego Fernando Pereira and Manolito Micallef both scored twice, with William Camenzuli and Ryan Darmanin adding further goals for Floriana.
Gżira remained competitive thanks to a brace from Sebastian Nayar, while Ian Zammit, Kevin Sammut and Justin Grioli also got on the scoresheet.

In another balanced encounter, Birkirkara St Helen’s and Rabat Veterans shared the spoils in a 4–4 draw. Adam Smeir continued his fine form with a brace, while Andy Mangion and Daniel Cremona also scored for Rabat.
Birkirkara’s goals came through Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza, Federico Marine Tejada, Gilbert Camilleri and Mario Caruana.

Żurrieq Wolves secured an important 5–2 win over Luxol, a result that lifted them one place in the standings and moved them off the bottom of the table. Giuseppe Muscat scored twice, while Alexander Muscat, Robert Zammit and Christian Bezzina added further goals to seal the team’s third win of the season.
Dylan Musu and Glenn Bonello scored for Luxol.
