Floriana secured a treble of successes after winning the Super Cup organised by the Veterans Malta Football Association. In the final, played at the Dorotej ground in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, they defeated Gżira United Veterans 12–2 in a match they dominated from start to finish.

The Maroons started well and even took the lead, but Floriana quickly equalised and from that point onwards took full control of the game.

Brazilian player Diego Fernando Pereira scored four goals, while captain Manolito Micallef netted a hat-trick. Firas Aboulezz and Bojan Kaljevic both scored twice, with Gilbert Scerri also adding his name to the scoresheet.

Kevin Sammut scored both goals for Gżira United.

With this result, Floriana claimed their third trophy of the season in just a few weeks, having already won both the league title and the Knock-Out competition.
