Gżira United meet MFPA for the second time this season

Gżira United hope to register the third consecutive win as they cross swords with MFPA in a replay of the Super Cup played last month.

In that match, the Maroons managed to impose themselves 10-4 in a very entertaining encounter.

Former Maltese international Andrew Cohen notched a poker with Alex Muscat hitting a treble. Dino Cachia, Gilbert Camilleri Lowell and Arthur Oyama completed the score for the Maroons.

For MFPA, Aleksandar Ribic was three times on target with Jonathan Bondin adding to their tally.

This time, MFPA are ready to bounce back especially after their disappointing 4-4 draw against Rabat.

Even Luxol St Andrew’s want to keep their perfect record as they face Rabat Veterans. The latter managed to make amends of their initial loss against Birkirkara St Helen’s by holding the champions to a 4-4 draw.

Luxol have good potential players that can make the difference with Mauro Camoranesi who has already scored two goals this season.

Hibernians meet Birkirkara St Helen’s in a very interesting encounter. The Paolites managed to grab their first three points of the season after a 4-2 win over Żejtun Red Stars.

On the other hand, Birkirkara are coming from a tough 10-3 defeat against Gżira United in a very difficult match.

Despite all this, the match can go either way as both clubs possess some good experienced players that can make all the difference.

In the battle of the basement, Żurrieq Wolves meet Żejtun Red Stars. Both teams have lost their first two matches and are ready to get the most important two points.

Maybe Żejtun are the disappointing lot till now. Until last year, they were challenging for the title but during this season, they still didn’t manage to gain ground.
