Birkirkara St Helen’s face Gżira United in most awaited encounter

Birkirkara St Helen’s and Gżira United Veterans cross swords in the most awaited encounter from Match Day 2 of the VMFA CISK Premier League.

Both clubs have registered the first three points of the season. The Stripes obtained a handsome 7-2 win over Rabat Veterans while Gżira clinched a hard-earned win over Hibernians.

Both clubs possess some good quality players which will make the encounter a very entertaining one.

Meanwhile champions MFPA have a delicate encounter against Rabat Veterans. The latter want to make amends after their 5-3 defeat against Birkirkara and would like to resume the consistency shown in the last part of the past season.

MFPA have retained most of the players who won the league last year and are coming from a smart 3-1 win over Żurrieq Wolves.

In-form Luxol are favourites to get the most important three points as they meet Żurrieq Wolves. The team from St Andrew’s was in fabolous form in their first encounter against Żejtun Red Stars as they won 6-1 with their latest acquisition Mauro German Camoranesi in fine form as he propelled his team to victory.

Żurrieq will concentrate on the defensive aspect although they will operate on the counter with their prolific striker Clarence Thomson ready to threaten the MFPA’s defence.

Hibernians face Żejtun Red Stars in a match between two teams who lost their first encounter. Without doubt, this is seen as a well-balanced match with both sides who can win this encounter.
