MFPA register massive win

MFPA climbed first in the table with the same points as Żejtun Red Stars after obtaining a massive 9-1 scoreline against Birkirkara St Helens.

As the score clearly indicates, the Malta Football Players Association dominated the match from start to finish with their opponents who found it difficult to play their usual game.

Mark Barbara and Thomas Paris scored a brace with Manuel Sevasta, Jonathan Bondin, Stephen Wellman, William Borg and Alexander Ribic also putting their names on the score sheet.

Trevor Cilia scored Birkirkara’s only goal.

In another match played at the St Dorothy’s Ground, Pieta’ Hotspurs and Luxol St Andrews shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 scoreline.

Both teams had lost their initial match and although they tried hard to get the three points, they had to go home with a point apiece.

The Hotspurs had Leandros Calleja, Lawrence Vella and Mario Crupi on target while Luxol answered back through Oleg Rybin, Michael Galea and Luke Satariano.
